~ Teaching ~

I graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in 1998 & taught high school English at Artesian-Letcher High School for three years. I also coached the ALHS cheerleaders for two years. Please click here to look at some of our competition photos.

Since I have a major in Elementary Ed, along with English/Secondary Ed, I decided to try something new for the 2001-2002 school year. I asked to be transferred to a colony school within the Artesian-Letcher School District where I taught all subjects to grades 4-8. My experiences at Upland Colony are ones I'll never forget &, although I can't display any pictures of my former students on this wepage, I have to tell you they are absolutely adorable! I've come to realize that the Hutterite people are some of the kindest, most generous people I've ever known.

After Upland, I moved back to my old stomping grounds and commuted to Lower Brule to teach third grade for one year before obtaining a teaching position at a rural school in Hayes which is part of the Stanley County School District. My current job is especially meaningful to me as I attended 1st-7th grade in Hayes. I have six bright, energetic students this year & we are doing all sorts of cool things in school.
