I was cheerleading advisor for two years. During that time, my girls went to five competitions and placed at each. Below are some pictures of their accomplishments.
This was our first competition, & it was sponsored by the DWU cheerleaders in 2000. I believe we placed first.

This was my first trip to the State Cheerleading Competition in Huron. We placed third in 2000.

We placed first in November 2000 at the SD Cheer/Dance Championships in Mitchell. Can you tell we went to Charlie's Angels the night before?

The girls claimed second place at the 2001 DWU Competition. Over half of my girls also competed in volleyball, and had a VB tourney that same day. We were unsure if we would even be able to perform because they were unable to get to the Corn Palace until about one minute before we were set to take the floor. While I was very proud of the girls and their performance, this was a bittersweet day for us all, I think.

Everything went right at the 2001 State Cheerleading Competition in Huron, & the girls took first place! This was one of the proudest days of my life. These girls rock!
