South Dakota’s Habitats: Worlds Within a World

Activity:          Divide students into groups and assign each group a South Dakota habitat. Next, instruct students to create a picture collage of “their” habitat. Students should try and cover specifically the areas of climate, location, landforms, birds, animals, and plant life.  They may use photos, magazine pictures, computer clip art, or their own personal drawings to construct their collage.
