South Dakota’s Habitats: Worlds Within a World

Activity:          Students should remain in the same groups as for the collage assignment. This time, students will create a rough draft of a travel brochure for a South Dakota habitat, encouraging people to visit that particular part of the state. This rough draft should be drafted with pencil and paper. If desired, this assignment could also become a contest to see which group can make the most accurate, convincing brochure.

                        * It is up to the teacher whether or not students should keep working on the same habitat throughout this unit. You may find it beneficial to assign each group a different habitat for each activity.
