Follow Up Activities

 

 

 

1.  Students may organize/participate in a volunteer activity including one or more of the following: Adopt a Highway, planting trees, picking up garbage, etc.

2.  Students will field trip to a zoo and draw, take pictures of, or take notes on different habitats found there. They will then interview zoo workers and ask them how they create an authentic habitat for their animals. Finally, students will report their findings to classmates.

3.  Students will shadow the same local conservation workers that they wrote letters to earlier in the unit.
